FRESH GRAPEFRUIT JUICE

Sometimes simple is unbeatable.

We too often search the world for fabulousness and forget what is under our very eyes. Paddling in the shallows at the beach while the sun slips under the horizon, reading a funny book under the dappled shade of a beautiful old tree on a hot summers day, the gurgling laughter of children, a kiss, a touch of a hand and a glass of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice.

Add this to your list of bevvies, serve chilled with ice in summer, add sliced strawberries or blend with a banana. Your body will thank you. Forget pressed and processed juices, buy a bag of grapefruit and start your day fresh with a healthy glowing skin.

Cooks note: mise en place: a French cooking term for having everything in its place. This helps to keep an organised kitchen and an unflustered cook. Preparing all ingredients first, taking out the equipment you need and reading through a recipe will make cooking relaxing and fun as it should be. Put on some music, try and keep the bench space tidy and there will be less cleaning up at the end.

Cooks note:

you need 1 lemon squeezer

To make

Squeeze 2 grapefruit and pour juice into a glass.

Cheers
